What You Won’t Find at Albro House Hotel

At Albro House Hotel, we offer a cosy and traditional stay in a historic Grade II listed London townhouse. However, due to the nature of our charming building, there are a few facilities we are unable to provide:

No Lift / Elevator & No Wheelchair Access
As our building is a classic four-level townhouse, we do not have an elevator or wheelchair-accessible rooms. This is due to the structural limitations of our Grade II listed property. Like many traditional London homes, stairs are part of the experience — and a great way to stay active! Of course, our team is always happy to assist with carrying your luggage.

No On-site Restaurant or Bar
Being a small hotel with essential facilities, we do not have a restaurant or bar. However, you’ll find a fantastic selection of cafés, pubs, and restaurants just across the street and throughout the local area.

No Gym On-site
While we don’t have a gym, we’re only a 4-minute walk from the beautiful Hyde Park — perfect for running, walking, or yoga in the fresh air. There are also several gyms and fitness studios nearby. (See our “Facilities” page for more details.)

What won't I find in the room?

At Albro House Hotel, we focus on providing you with the essentials, allowing us to offer competitive pricing in this prestigious central location. Here’s what you won’t find in your room:

  • No safe – However, should you wish to securely store any valuables, Reception offers a safe for your convenience.

  • No toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, or bathrobe – These items are not provided in-room, but you can easily find them within a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

  • Iron, extra pillows, and blankets – Available upon request from Reception, should you need any additional comforts during your stay.

We strive to make your stay both comfortable and affordable while maintaining the charm of our central location.

Do all rooms have private/ en-suite bathrooms?
Shower or both.
All rooms are en-suite with a private toilet and shower in the rooms.
Can I open the window in my room?

Yes, all rooms at Albro House Hotel have windows, and they can be opened. However, the windows are restricted to ensure safety and comply with UK health and safety regulations, meaning they cannot be fully opened.

Do you have interconnecting rooms?

We do not offer interconnecting rooms, but if you are traveling with family or friends, please let us know in advance. While we cannot guarantee adjoining rooms, we will do our best to accommodate you as close to each other as possible. Please note that some room types may not be available on the same floor, as we typically have an average of only 3 rooms per floor.

Can I have a Triple bedroom with 3 separate beds?

Unfortunately, all of our triple rooms are designed with two beds: one double and one single, suitable for 2 parents and 1 child. If you’re three adults and need 3 separate beds, we recommend booking our Quadruple room instead.

Do you have rooms on the Lower Ground floor?

Yes, we have rooms on every floor, including the Lower Ground or basement level, which is typical of most traditional London townhouses. Like many other properties on our street, this is a standard feature in the area.

This setup is quite common in London, particularly in the traditional areas, such as Paddington, where you’ll find many lower ground level apartments.

One of the benefits is that there are only a few stairs to reach this level. The Ground floor is just a few steps above street level, so the lower ground floor is not as deep as you might expect.

Rest assured, all our rooms—whether on the Lower Ground floor or any other level—meet the same high standards. Each room also has a window, ensuring a comfortable and bright stay.

Can my child share my bed?

Children under 2 years old are welcome to share the bed with their parents. For children over the age of 2, an additional bed must be booked, and a larger room may be required to accommodate this.

Can you put an extra bed in the room?

We can offer an extra mattress in some of our rooms for an additional charge. Please contact the hotel directly to check availability and pricing for this service.

Can you provide a baby cot in the room?

Yes, we can provide a baby cot, subject to availability. The price is £15 per night. Kindly inform the hotel in advance of your arrival date to ensure availability.
